ABOUT W&W
Warriors & Witchcraft is based heavily on the Warriors novels by Erin Hunter, but with a large, expanded lore. Here, cats have been blessed by their ancestors to have magical abilities that are passed down through genetics from parents to kits. This has completely altered the way clans interact with one another and with their environment, creating a fresh, interesting, and complex universe to explore.
How the site works
W&W provides a unique roleplay experience, combining elements of traditional, written roleplay and rpgs. While private roleplay is allowed and encouraged, the meat of the site operates on large group roleplays, which are run by the admins and moderators. There, your characters will be tested by events dictated by the admin, similar in style to games like D&D. Participating in these events will give your character points to learn new skills and grow to new ranks within their clan or groups.
The Clans
ThunderclanThunderclan are the proudest of the clans, staying loyal to the death to their clanmates. They are strong, brazen, and outspokenly conservative cats who tend to be very stubborn. They are known to be prejudiced against cats with odd or evil powers, and fight vehemently for what they believe.
Current Leader: Fennelstar Habitat: Mixed forest with birch, maple, oak, and pine trees. Relations: Thunderclan has made no formal alliances. Thunderclan has no outstanding issues with other clans. |
ShadowclanShadowclan are the most mysterious of the clans, preferring to keep to themselves rather than concern themselves with the other clans' drama. They are reserved and stand-offish, and are notorious for being snappy and short-tempered.
Current Leader: Tawnystar Habitat: Pine and spruce evergreen forest. Relations: Shadowclan has made no formal alliances. Shadowclan has no outstanding issues with other clans. |
WindclanWindclan are the most care-free of the clans, valuing individualism and religious freedom above all else. They are generally conflict-avoidant and clever. They pride themselves on peace-keeping, though they are unafraid to defend their liberal point of view.
Current Leader: Stormingstar Habitat: An open, hilly moor bordering farmland Relations: Windclan is currently accepting refugees from The Sacred Flame. Windclan is a target of hostility by Riverclan, but are not hostile toward them at this time. |
RiverclanRiverclan are the most logical of the clans, highly tactical and strategic thinkers with a secretive streak. Easily adapting to change, Riverclan are primal survivalists first and foremost and are generally jack-of-all-trades when it comes to basic hunting and battle skills.
Current Leader: Salmonstar Habitat: Swamp and marshland bordering the large river. Relations: Riverclan is not open to alliances. Riverclan are openly hostile toward all out-of-clan cats and Windclan. |
The Sacred flamesThe Sacred Flames are a group of former clan cats who left the lake due to extreme prejudice. Formerly known as The Forgotten Ones, their previous leader, Mavana, had declared revenge on the clans, but ultimately died in the war she created. Rebranded as a peaceful monarchy, the Sacred Flames live secluded in an abandoned asylum between the mountains and Windclan.
Current Queen: Redwillow Relations: The Sacred Flames have a peaceful relationship with Windclan and Thunderclan and are at odds with Riverclan. |
THe DruidsThe Druids are a religious group of nomadic loners who roam around the clan territories at will. Their jobs are to maintain order between the clans and the dead, perform important spiritual ceremonies, and repair the land and energy after crisis. When becoming a Druid, they lose their given name and take on the name of an ancient spirit who will guide them.
Current High Druid: Herne Relations: The Druids have a peaceful relationship with the clans. |
The Point System
Warriors & Witchcraft is a heavily mirco-managed RPG with time limitations and level caps like traditional games. In order to progress your character, you must spend time training their skills and gaining life experience. By completing tasks and participating in events, your character will earn points, which may earn you new abilities and ranks.
Some level caps and limitations include:
-Queens and Kings must wait 30 days from approval until giving birth. This helps avoid godmoding your queens and producing too many kits in a short amount of time. You dont have to rp during those 30 days, but if you do, your character must be pregnant.
-Kits grow a moon in age every 15 days. That means they will be 4 moons 60 days (roughly 2 months) after their birth and may start discovering powers. After 90 days (roughly 3 months) they will be eligible for their Apprentice Ceremony.
-Apprentices can not become Warriors until they reach a point total dictated by their primary power (either 10, 12, or 14. Powerless apprentices must reach 10) and pass an assessment given by their mentor and a staff supervisor.
-Only high ranks may learn the final power listed on their skill tree. These are extremely powerful abilities that could be devastating if used improperly.
-Only a cat's primary power can be developed fully. Secondary powers can only be developed roughly halfway through the skill tree.

Auras
Auras are a wreath of coloured energy that surrounds every cat. While most cannot see them, some cats can through their powers, and they may occasionally become visible when using certain skills. Therefore we require everyone to submit an aura colour for their character.
While every cat has a unique, distinguishable aura, the colour range is determined by the driving motivation or emotion of that individual. If you boiled your character down to one trait, what would it be? The colours are:
Reds - Wrath, hatred, or trauma.
Oranges - Greed or jealousy
Yellows - Fear
Greens - Survival, instinct, or willpower
Blues - Hope or inspiration
Indigos - Compassion
Violets - Love (romantic, familial, platonic, etc.)
White auras are reserved for Gods and Demigods. Black auras are reserved for ghosts and the undead.

Events
Events are a vital part of our group roleplay. This is when an important situation will arise that may require multiple character to react or take care of it. All events will be posted on the home page at least one week ahead of time.
Events are not mandatory unless you have a character that is vital to the specific event. This would be planned far in advance so you will definitely know if you have to attend or not.
However, there is incentive to join events, as interacting will earn your characters points. Each event rewards a different number of points, but in general, major battles and plot events will reward more points than smaller events.
Events are determined by the staff only. Members are welcome (and encouraged) to request minor events, but they need admin approval to take place plus the week notice for other members to prepare
